It is a medical miracle for a 16-year-old girl who lived with an extra heart for years. She made a full recovery after the transplanted heart was removed in a unique operation. Hannah Clark is a reluctant star – she’s facing the media because she’s a medical miracle. She suffered heart failure when she was a baby, and at the age of two had a transplanted heart grafted onto her own one. Free from the stress of pumping blood, Hannah’s own heart was able to rebuild itself. [Hannah Clark, Heart Transplant Patient]: (Female, English) “I enjoyed running even though I couldn’t run. Swimming I enjoyed, and shopping.” But Hannah had to take strong drugs to stop the body from rejecting the transplant, and four years ago she developed cancer.
